We have tested the fax server software as well as snappy fax client running in VMWare virtual machines. There are no known problems running in a virtual machine. If you have options in the software set to start fax receive mode at startup when you need to ensure that your virtual machine settings are set to connect the com port(s) when the virtual machine is started.

We have also tested our software on a MacBook Pro running Windows 8 in a Parallels virtual machine and under Windows 8 running in VirtualBox virtual machine.

These are the only virtual environments we have actually tested but we believe running in any virtual environment will be fine.
